It’s all about conveying a feeling – Niconé releases his EP “All Time High” on Bar 25 Music
The German DJ and producer Alexander Gerlach started his project Niconé in 2007 in order to combine his two passions, fashion and music. Over the last few years, he has collaborated with Sascha Braemer, Philip Bader and many others. His music fits no usual genre, it is much more a feeling. The feeling of when the dancefloor, full of strangers, unites to become a homogeneous mass, dancing to a common beat. Niconé achieves this once again with his EP “All Time High”, staying true to his credo ’it’s all about conveying a feeling’. Feel the beat!
trndmsk: What inspired you to produce the EP?
Niconé: First off all I have an inner drive to make music, which leads me to making music almost everyday. So for the Bar25 release I wanted to make a positive summer vibe piece, and another crazy one. And I think I did not fail.
Where did you record it? And how?
I recorded the track after my Holidays, during which I was not able to make music, so that I made a lot when I was back. It’s be bit like I am a maniac about music, because there are constantly a lot of ideas in my mind. And to realise these ideas I am using Ableton with a lot of plugins.
How did you get in contact with the record label?
In the past I played a lot at the legendary Bar25 and so I did release a lot on their record label. It was a fantastic and priceless time so it makes me happy I am still releasing there once a year. Nostalgic Amen.
What’s up next after the release? Are you working on any other projects?
A lot of releases will come in the future. I made an Einmusik release, one for Katermukke and of course I will keep releasing on my own label called ‚Dantze‘. Some weird stuff might pop up there soon. I also made a lot of remixes together with Dirty Doering and I am working on a mini album with our super singer Enda Gallery.
