Sparrow & Barbossa and Noah Leon release their newest Afro House track on Wired: “Amazonia”.

trndmsk: What inspired you to produce the EP?

Sparrow & Barbossa: We got inspired while we were touring in Brighton a few months ago. We had a very long night and decided to finish the day by starting to listen to some friends old Vinyls. We were not really paying attention the music until we heard some Brazilian vibes that completely transported us.

Where did you record it? And how?

That’s when we decide to record it directly, so we brought our laptop out and starting to record some chords. We recorded at least 3/4 of the track’s main concept during that same night. We’ve then finished recording it at our studio in Madrid, recording acoustic percussions and other elements on the spot. We then sent it in London for mastering and voila.

How did you get in contact with the record label?

Wired is our main record label, we’re not only part of it as a label but it’s also our booking agency. The owner, Enzo Siffredi is a lifetime friend to us and we tend to release most of our tracks on his label. The last headline has been Yeke which charted number one on Beatport Afro House.

What’s up next after the release? Are you working on any other projects?

After the recent release of Shakara on Radiant and this one, we have at least 5 other tracks releasing before the end of the year on various major afro house labels, so there is definitely more coming. We’re also working on 4 different collabs right now, which should also release at some point before the end of the year.
