Apart from also remixing officially big names of the electronic scene such as Moby, Stephan Bodzin and Dubfire, Victor has been one of the top selling Techno artists nowadays. Over the years, the Berlin-based producer has been touring all around the world, from big festivals to intimate clubs and from big clubs to intimate festivals, and it’s getting busier every day. He just can’t get enough! And today the Brazilian producer mixed trndmsk Podcast #63.
Victor, what can we look forward to in the next few minutes?
Victor Ruiz: A proper Techno mix with some of my new stuff and some another powerful tunes.
When did you record the set? What surrounded you at the time?
This was recorded at Sea You Festival and it was one of the best gigs of the year for me. Such a beautiful atmosphere and energy from the crowd.
How did you choose the tracks for the mix?
As I was playing at the festival, I just followed my gut and connected to the people that were dancing. The choice was natural.
Do you have a favorite track included in the mix?
Hard to pick one. Maybe the second one, which is a brand-new track of mine that doesn’t even have a name yet! Haha so that’s an exclusive for you.
What three songs do you tend to use in your current sets?
DEAS – Contact
We’re in the middle of the open air season. Which open airs are you most looking forward to?
The next one I’m really looking forward is Drumcode Festival in Amsterdam. This one will be amazing! As its in association with Awakenings again and as everyone knows they always have such huge production and amazing line ups. Was sold out last year in a day, so now it’s over 2 days. Looks like a good way to spend the weekend!
What are your near future projects? Are you working on any other projects?
I have plenty of new things cooking but it’s too early to tell you guys.
