trndmsk Future Stars #19: Dopish – Woven Fabric

Haste makes waste– that’s why it took us a little longer to publish the next episode of our Future Stars series mixed by Dopish. “Get ready for a Dopish set somewhere between a nightly car ride and club sounds”, say the two producers who recently released their “Aguna” EP via INCROYABLE Music. They did actually listen to their “Woven Fabric” mix during a car ride at night and loved the combination of sound and atmosphere.

Not your usual club mix

They produced the set during a weekend studio session: “That’s where we have our DJ equipment. We came together, thought about ideas for new tracks and made the set out of that.” They did not want to produce a usual club set but something that would work in other places as well. “When do you get the chance to listen to music on club-suitable speakers, other than when actually being inside the club? We wanted to create a sound that would work in other surroundings, too.”

All favorite tracks mixed together

The mixtape includes all of their favorites: “Thus, we cannot really highlight a single track because they all work well in their special way.” Still, there are three tracks which Dopish play in almost all of their gigs: Bellville’s “Illusions”, Fabio Montana’s unreleased track “Metropolitan” and the remix of their “Aguna” EP by Fennec & Wolf. “At the moment we are working on the last details for our new EP which will probably be released by INCROYABLE Music this August. Also, we have a few remixes for other labels to be released this year.”
