trndmsk: How did you choose the tracks? Did you make a plan before the gig?

HOVR: I did make a rough preselection, prepared for playing 6h and selected the most fitting tracks on the fly.

How would you describe the atmosphere during your performance?

I used to play at Kater almost every other month, back when Katerkiosk was still open and haven’t had the chance to play at Kater for a long time. Receiving the invite to play at Heinz Hopper, the biggest floor in the club between two acts way out of my league (SoKool and yotam avni) at 0-3 was a pleasant surprise. Of course I did my best to create a vibe and I feel like that worked. I received lots of compliments and Berliner Luft after the set, hehe

Do you have a favorite track included in the mix? What three songs do you tend to use in your current sets?

Choosing a favorite among favorites is difficult. I tried to only play music that I love, instead of playing music that I like to some degree that just works on the dancefloor. But I think my most memorable song was Darin Epsilon’s Remix of Tar Es from Alfonso Ares feat. Ehsan Yadollahi. It’s an amazing piece with a very interesting bass. I met Darin last year and we’ve been sending each other music on a regular basis ever since. He is amazing!

Three songs I enjoy playing at the moment:

Morane – The trick (Think dark)
Tony Casanova – Gamechanger (feat. Frida Darko)
Lauer – ESC (Prins Thomas Diskomiks)

What are your near future projects?

I’m crazy excited for my upcoming release on Lauter Unfug in April. Two artists I’ve admired for a while are going to remix a track of mine and it’ll be my first own EP. Plus I have a really exciting summer tour lined up. Definitely a lot to look forward to.
