Adam Husa releases his first longplayer. „Lost in Translation“ will be out on Husa Sounds on April 29th 2020.

trndmsk: Where and how did you produce the tracks?

Adam Husa: I decided to move to Cairo indefinitely to work on this album and some other music.

What inspired you to produce the tracks and the LP?

I was in a new place, entering the new chapter in my life. I finally had time to breathe in and take in my surroundings. I’m half Egyptian by blood so this was a way to reconnect with my roots. I was trying to translate this new life into my understanding.

How long did it take you to produce the album?

The main ideas came in the first month. About 4 to 5 months of back and forth in between tracks making them evolve. I also had the pleasure to work with George Rish (Artphorm) for the mixing process, Pablo Bolivar for the mastering and Sylvie Béraud for the cover art. This last step took about a month.

How did you choose the title of the LP? Is there a special meaning behind it?

Lost In Translation was the very first track I made, and when i came to realize these tracks all meant to be released together, naming it „Lost In Translation“ made perfect sense for me and to whoever wants to interpret it in their way with their own experience.

How was the feedback so far?

I haven’t sent it out to too many people at the moment, but it’s been great feedback and support from close people.

How and why did you choose the record label?

Husa Sounds is a platform of a community that shares stories & this is my story. Felt like the perfect opportunity to turn the platform into a official label.

What’s up next after the release? Any plans and projects?

Considering everything happening in the world with COVID-19, I’m going to keep focus on making more music!
